Why I am all over camel this year…..

The camel coat has been enjoying a gradual return over the last year, so it comes as no surprise that the colour has turned up de rigueur in all the stores this autumn. It is not just camel alone, this 70’s and 90’s revamp has reappeared with class, style and vigour in many shades. A full range from light beige, khaki, toffee etc etc can be seen making their comeback and proving that beige is anything but boring!

The classic camel coat continues to be a staple when it comes to autumn/ winter trends. It can carry you through both with class and sophistication. Teamed up with skinny jeans and tassel loafers or dressed down with Adidas Stan Smiths, this coat goes with everything and definitely worth the investment.

The moment the weather starts to turn like it has this week, you know you are ready for the trench coat. I can’t remember a time where the trench coat ever left us. Fuelled by my love for the Parker/ James twins in The Parent Trap, I have been in love with this British Classic ever since. Trench coats are a perfect way of finishing off a smart/ casual outfit, whilst keeping you dry! My personal favourite is Aquascutum, I know controversial but I don’t think anyone makes trench coats like them. Sorry Burberry! One can dream.

This trend is now dominating the highstreet, from shoes, hats, scarves, trousers and jumpers there is no where they haven’t ventured. These are just a handful of my favourites.
