The Best Subscription boxes

The Best Subscription boxes

Whether you are looking for present inspiration for family or friends who have everything or simply just because you need a monthly indulgence to remind yourself how fabulous you are subscriptions boxes have it covered. Growing rapidly in popularity in the last couple of years, there is no escaping the increasing list of goodies that can now arrive in your post and the best part is there is no leaving the house or wrapping required. These are currently my favourite subscription boxes.

For Book lovers

This is my favourite of them all hence why it is at the top. Willoughby Book Club is a monthly book subscription delivered to your door. You or your lucky recipient will receive a new book wrapped with a message tailored to your/ their taste. They have bundles available to suit everyone, all the way from new born babies to adults this really is the perfect gift. The packages are either 3, 6 or 12 months ranging from £35-£105.

For Men (or sister in my case)

To most people these would really shout out to the Dads and the other halves that are ridiculously hard to buy for, however when I came across Cure & Simple the only person that came to mind is my little sister, no one loves a cooked breakfast like she does. Cure & Simple are the answer to so many prayers and a humorous gift for bacon/ food lovers.  Their tag line ‘ Gorgeous bacon through your door, every week?’ sums up exactly what they do. Bacon can be delivered weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on the level of bacon love, and the clever guys at Cure&Simple have made the packaging dog repelant so you are not welcomed home to an empty box. Geniuses’ I think we call them.

London sock Company For the stylish gent in your life, the sock enthusiast or you’re just sick of picking up old socks with holes in them. From what I gather the London Sock Company are only for men but are still worth talking about because I love the concept, all my Dad asks for his birthday, Christmas and Fathers day is new socks so this is a great way to mix up the usual 5 black pairs I religiously have to purchase. LSC (we shall call them) delivers a pair of socks monthly for £10 you can either choose your own (for gifts you are given a gift voucher to activate) or let a stylist chose for you.

Beauty lovers

So more importantly back to us, and another absolute favourite of mine. There are two beauty boxes I wanted to mention because I couldn’t choose, The glossy box and Birchbox.  I have listed them both because what they offer is very similar. They work out roughly £10 a month, The glossy box is slightly cheaper the longer you take your subscription out for. They are both backed by a whole host of well-known brands and they both offer a tailored option to suit your needs and skin type.  Both boxes offer 3, 6 and 12 months subscriptions. I know with Birchbox you can just buy one off boxes and subscriptions for friends.

Stationary Obsessed

I just love stationary, I could spend all day in Paperchase and I am still waiting for the day they start their own monthly subscription boxes. I think out of all of the subscription boxes stationary was the hardest to chose as I am aware that my stationary taste is going to differ a lot to others, I like Kate Spade and Paperchase, bright Colours, bold patterns and simple sentences but I am conscious this isn’t to everyone’s taste. That being said my favourite so far has to be YooHoo! If you like the look of the boxes you have to snap them all quick as they sell out fast but they are packed full of some great hand designed stationary.  The boxes you buy monthly are roughly about £10 each slightly differing in price each month.

For Tea Lovers

I live by the idea that there is nothing a good cup of tea cannot fix. I love everything about tea all year round, so when writing this post I was torn between so many subscriptions and whether to add coffee in there as well, but my need for coffee has nothing on my love for tea, alas we are here.

London tea club is a monthly tea delivery tailored to your taste, they offer a variety of herbal, green, white and black teas delivered to your door.  Each tea comes with its own information card to tell you all about it, how best to brew it and what it goes well with. They offer either 3 or 6 month packages at £10 a month which I think is amazing.
