I know I start every grateful moment post which this and one day I might actually be a bit more imaginative. But MARCH, WHERE DID YOU GO? Seriously April? I am not ready for this! I may have been counting down for Spring since January 2nd but I am not mentally prepared for months to flash by this quickly. However I do love Spring, and I am happy to welcome the clocks going forward, the lighter nights and having a life again. March is always one of my favourite months, one because you never know whether you are tortured with an extension of winter or blessed with some early spring weather. This month it seems to be a bit of both but March definitely hasn’t disappointed. These are my five moments from March.
Clocks going forward
A couple of Sundays back, the clocks went forward, the sun was shining all day, the weather was fab and it was mothers day. I finally felt I really had that spring back in my step that spring and summer leave me with. An urge to just get up and get on with things. Waking up on Monday morning before spinning was a bit of a struggle as it was dark again but nothing will beat knowing that I have a life again after work. The horses can finally get fit again.
As you read this, I will be
partying sleeping a lot in Prague. This is my first trip of the year and I am so grateful to be able to get away with my sisters and some of my favourite girls. I really want to get some trips booked this year but with the cost of my braces, hasn’t made it easy for me. We have booked an Airbnb, this has been my first Airbnb experience which is pretty exciting, I love the concept and it makes travelling so much cheaper and easier. We are right near Old Town and for a location like this in a hotel would have cost us £££ more.
I know this post may be similar to my weekly trends, you are probably learning nothing new about my month which is the only problem with having both posts. I feel both are important for my reflection on my months and week so I am going to keep them. One of my main highlights of March and always will be is the number of occasions we have to celebrate. With the amount of family and friend birthdays we have and of course Mothers day it guarantees year on year to host a nice amount of gatherings with my favourite people, and this year definitely didn’t disappoint.
A trip to London
Mid March I was lucky enough to have a trip to the Shard. We had visited this iconic landmark at Christmas but there was zero visibility, It was like someone had pulled the blinds down. Luckily you get three months to reuse your tickets so we squeezed in another visit one Friday last month. I was sceptical as it was still quite cloudy on our second visit but once we were up there the view was amazing. I would 100% go back and recommend it for a day out. I would also look into the sky bar in the Walkie Talkie building. You don’t go quite as high as the Shard but the view is still pretty darn good, and its free you just need to remember to book in advance. After the Shard and a nosy around Borough Market and a trip to the pub on the corner which we visit every time we are in Borough Market, we headed to Chick n Sours just off Tottenham court road. This place featured on my weekly trends and I was going to do a whole post about it but I think you guys get the idea. This was off the back of a recommendation, I love nothing more than when someone recommends eating somewhere and it exceeds all expectations. Everyone (well unless you’re a vegetarian or vegan) needs to go here. It was so much fun and the food and cocktails were just incredible.
So until April, girls and guys! Have a good month!
