My weekly roundup

My weekly roundup

This week was quiet in comparison to weeks that have passed which was exactly what I needed. After a good run Monday night I actually had a night on the sofa, with avocado on toast a good cup of tea and a facemask, I cannot remember the last time I had time to do that and it was bliss. These are my weekly trends.

Rutland Water Aqua Park – Being a firm believer that you can never overdo a good thing, we booked to go back to the Aquapark in Rutland last Sunday. The team at the Aquapark were absolutely amazing at sorting our booking out after my sister forgot to book her tickets, it actually worked out for the best as the sun was shinning early in the morning. We had just as much fun the second time round, especially as there were a few inflatables available that weren’t last time. Thankfully I don’t ache nearly as much as I did the first time round. It is such a fun morning/ afternoon out if you are looking for something to do this summer I really recommend you booking on especially as they are popping up all over the UK at the moment, so check them out. We are looking for similar things to do over the summer so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

Scratch Map – After trying to make be believe she had bought me wrapping paper and me being too nice/ too tired to pull her up on joking or trying to take advantage of knowing I would still say how much I loved it even if she did buy me just a roll of wrapping paper. My friend Becky bought me a scratch map for my birthday and gave it to me this week. Ah god, I love it. I have wanted one for ages. I have found the perfect little wall for it in the spare room. I am hoping it will give me a kick up the arse to get a few more trips booked.

Bloggers mail from TillyAnna– Anyone that knows me well will know that TillyAnna is a big favourite of mine when it comes to homeware accessories and stationary. So I was delighted Monday morning when a bag of goodies arrived from them. Little did I know I was about to receive the best bit of blogger mail ever. Well, I wasn’t but Dougal was! The wonderful team sent Dougal his very own cushion (ft in photo above), I couldn’t believe how excited I was when I saw it and I know Dougal absolutely loved it. So thank you so much TillyAnna you’ve made a girl and her dog very happy. I also got the cutest of pencil cases with the motto “be you, only you can‘ which is exactly what I needed this week after a dipping into a rut of social media comparisons. TillyAnna is currently offering 20% off everything online until the 31st July 2017 so check them out here.

Going down

Iphone charger/headphones – Does anyone else with the iPhone 7 have an issue with not being able to to charge your phone and listen to music at the same time? I have this phone for over 6 months now and I still can’t get my head around it. I don’t want to invest in Bluetooth headphones because I know I will lose them. I just want the good old days back when my phone could be on constant charge because I had spent too long scrolling Instagram whilst listening to podcasts at the same time.

Gym memberships in the summer – I cannot remember the last time I went to the gym, with running, riding, walking Dougal and getting jobs done I cannot be bothered to fit in the gym as well even though I know my abs need it and I am paying a monthly fee for me to not go. So if anyone wants to be my gym buddy and drag me out of bed in the morning I really need it.

Being an adult – This week I am seriously tired of being an adult, I miss long uni holidays, parents paying for you to go on holiday, actually, just parents paying for you period. This week I have spent lunch hours juggling todhpurs, reducing BT Broadband bills, taking metre readings, ordering new hoovers, maintaining the garden and cleaning the house. And whilst I am proud that I am doing all these things I never thought I would have to tackle, a week in bed watching non-stop love island would be nice right now, failing that an all paid for trip to the Maldives.
