There is no shopping I find more exciting than buying stationery. I love the potential it all holds, how little pieces of paper can keep me organised. The feeling of the first-page, all the ideas jotted down. I like to start the new year with a new diary, I have always been quite vocal about the importance of writing things down, keeping diary entries and gratitude journals. So it will come to no surprise that I couldn’t wait to get my hand on my stationery for 2018.
2018 diary – Kikki K
Unfortunately, this diary is now sold out, which I know is less than ideal. I remember seeing this diary in Selfridges and instantly wanting it despite only being about October. I love the goals and planning breakdown throughout the planner. The diary gives you the chance to set yearly, half and quarterly goals throughout the year. There is also the opportunity to reflect on 2017 at the beginning which I really enjoyed doing. You can set yourself monthly aims and at the end of each month, there is a chance to reflect on what happened, what went well, what I have been grateful for. The ‘to do‘ list alongside the weekdays makes It super easy to keep your weeks in check. The only thing I am annoyed about is that I didn’t buy the diary in the larger size when it was available. I will definitely repurchase If it is available next year.
My sister bought me this as a present for Christmas. It opens out to be everything you need a notepad to be to stay organised. The notepad folds out into three separate notepads. On the left you have a break down of jobs to do, the middle is for general notes and lastly on the right is the days of the week. It breaks up jobs, plans and occasions nicely into one notepad. It has so much space but folds up to fit perfectly into your bag.
I forgot to take a photo of the front of this journal, annoying as the cover is super cute and the reason I first picked this journal up. I have bought this journal three times now. Twice as a gift and once for me. I love how the pages change, some of the pages are lined, blank or include inspirational quotes. Each page is so vibrant you are greeted with a motivational quote just when it is needed. I noticed the other day this journal is now in their sale so get it while you can.
Happy Journal – Fearne Cotton / Gratitude Kikki K
I have these both and I have also bought the gratitude book for my friend too. My aunt bought me Fearne’s Happy journal for Christmas but in principle, they do the same. I use the happy journal more only because the diary does what the gratitude book does so I would just be repeating myself whereas Fearne’s gives different gratitude and reflection ideas, tips and motivation each day. Gratitude and reflection is an important part of my day. It can really help me offload and I find it helps me improve my mood for the next day, enabling me to have a happier more productive day.
